Our Thursday night bingo is a Post 171 Legion lifeline. The funds we generate support many of our programs, as well as maintenance of our post home. Our bingo program is a family affair. All of our Legion family contribute to the operation; our bingo family includes about 60 regular players , some of whom have only missed a few bingos since we first started. We strive to be fair and honest, and our bingo family appreciates that. We always welcome newcomers and someone will be available to explain the games to you as needed.
WHEN:
Bingo runs every Thursday from September through June. Weather cancellations will be decided by Noon on the day of play. Check the Post phone or website for updates.
Our Post doors open at 5 pm and we have a snack bar with soup, chili, sandwiches, desserts, and more, all reasonably priced. Vegas and snack bar sales start at 5 pm and bingo package sales start at 6 pm. Bingo play starts at 7 pm sharp. We usually finish the last game, the Big Jackpot, by 10 pm.
GAMES:
Each night we have 15 regular games that pay $75 or more, depending on attendance. Three early bird games start at 7 and pay $45 or more. 5 Specials pay $85 or more. We have a little jackpot that pays $150 or $300 and a big jackpot of $500. There are many Vegas games with cash prizes ranging from $110 to $1000. Some games and specials build their jackpot over time until someone wins.
NEW in 2022: Play the “Dual Daub” game. That just means there are two bingo ball numbers in the same square on the playing card. You only need to get one of the numbers to mark that square.
NEW in 2023: Buy a “Legion Ball” for $5. This Legion Ball is your own personal wild ball to use on any Regular bingo game (not valid for Specials, Jackpots, Vegas games and other games).
NEW in 2023: Play the Queen of Hearts game. This game accumulates funds, up to $1000, until someone wins. There may be multiple Queen of Hearts jackpots in play, so chances to win increase as well. Chances are $1 each or six for $5.
PRICING:
Starter game packets include 20 games and come in sizes of 6 cards for $20, 12 cards for $22, and 18 cards for $27. A $2 extra admission fee applies if players are splitting a game packet. Vegas games are $1 a chance and other special games are between $2 and $7.
