Foundations Forward is a revitalization initiative supported by approximately $335,000 in Maryland state grant funding.

Through this initiative, Post 171 is undertaking structural renovations and facility upgrades designed to improve accessibility, functionality, and long-term sustainability.


Project Scope

Planned improvements include:

  • Reconfiguration of interior space to improve layout and usability
  • ADA-compliant entrances and accessibility enhancements
  • Renovation and modernization of restroom facilities
  • Structural modifications to improve flow and operational efficiency
  • Collaboration with professional design and planning teams

These upgrades are intended to create a more welcoming, accessible, and functional environment for veterans, members, and the community.

The project is being guided by Post leadership in coordination with professional design consultants and contractors.

Project Status

Your “state grant committee” has been working with a design architect  and engineering firm to produce a feasibility study of Post building needs. A summary of findings will be provided to members upon request.
